Earlier this week, 'RX 100' director Ajay Bhupathi left everyone confused when he tweeted just two words: Cheap Star. We have heard of so many kinds of stars but who the hell is a cheap star? Well, as per speculative media reports, the fledgling director was referring to Ravi Teja. Yes, Ravi Teja.
What made Ajay Bhupathi utter the extreme word? After the superb success of his debut movie, Ajay focused his time and energies on a script titled 'Maha Samudram'. He wanted to cast Mass Maharaja as the hero of this script. When Ravi Teja listened to the script, he was fascinated. With the hero coming on board, Ajay and his producer started convincing Kajal Aggarwal and a few other important cast members. This process took months.
And, after all these efforts, Ravi Teja made a volte-face over remuneration. Because of this, the project fell into a soup. This frustrated the director, who made the angry tweet. Ravi Teja has not reacted to the controversy.
