Whenever there is a Kamal Haasan film coming up there is some craze in the audience as to what the actor has in store for them. Read on to see if Vishwaroopam is special in any which way.
After successfully deploying the bomb in New York, Kamal and his team are posted to the US to hunt down a big bom threat. He does that successfully but later comes to know that his old terrorist friend Omar has planned a series of bombs in Delhi. How Kamal Haasan defuses these bombs is the crux of the story.
Kamal Haasan is the only solace of the film which looks good until he is on the screen. He does all the fights nicely and does not look his age in any manner. Pooja Kumar is Kamal's wife and shares. Very hot vine with the actor. Andrea was the best of the lot with her killer fights. Apart from this none of the actors make any impact in the film.
Firstly, the film has a complex story which might not figure out in the beginning. The locations and fights choreographed are of international standard and look very nice on screen. But the tempo in the film drops so heavily that the film has not thrills and can bore you with its uneven screenplay. All the technical points of the film are outdated and do not match today's sensibilities making the film go for a toss in the later part.
Boring second half
A sequel should be made soon after the first part is fresh in the money of the audience. But that is not the case for Vishwaroopam as it is ages old and has no gripping direction. The audience will be disappointed with this outing of Kamal as it might be his last film before he joins full fledged politics.
