Vijay Deverakonda has expressed his happiness over 'World Famous Lover' garnering superb advance bookings ahead of its release on February 14. In Hyderabad, the first day is going to be a very good one for the rom-com. If word of mouth is encouraging, the first weekend will post numbers as high as Rs 6-7 Cr (share).
"Today, when someone told me that the bookings are very nice, I only have a feeling of gratitude. I can't ask for more," VD says.
Directed by Kranthi Madhav, the film was previously titled as 'Priyam' or 'Mumbai Theeram'. "We couldn't go with those titles. At the end of the day, 'WFL' has gone into the audience and I am happy about it," he says.
VD adds that he wants to inspire children to dream big. "I have achieved what I have despite having no background. I was frightened by everyone when I wanted to become an actor. Today I am here," he says.
