Mumbai: The most hardworking city
As per a report brought out by UBS, a Swiss Bank, the residents of Mumbai are the hardest working people in the world. The Bank has surveyed about 77 major cities of the world.
Per annum, the average Mumbaikar works 3314.7 hours. The world average is just 1987 hours. This goes to show that the quality of life is inferior in the Indian city. The report also says that a Mumbaikar has to work for longer to be in a financial position to own an iPhone.
Nevertheless, the Maximum City deserves praise for what it has been going through to make India an economic powerhouse. "It is official now that Mumbaikars work the longest hours in the world. It's not surprising that we are also the most professional and described as the city that never sleeps," says a proud Bhawana Somaya.
