'Sarkar' follows that epic trend
The title of Tamil superstar Vijay's 62nd movie is 'Sarkar'. This one marks the coming together of AR Murugadoss and Vijay once again after the blockbuster 'Thuppakki' and super-hit 'Katthi'.
The title is universal and it follows a trend. Even when it's dubbed in Telugu, the title will have no major tinkering. 'Kaala', 'Kabali', '2.0', 'Saaho', 'SPYder', 'NOTA', among others, in recent times have had universal titles. Of course, the mother of all such universal titles has to be 'Baahubali'. Even its characters have the same names in all languages, across countries. That Rajamouli masterstroke is difficult to replicate.
Coming to 'Sarkar', it stars Keerthy Suresh as the heroine. Sun Pictures is producing it, while the music is by AR Rahman. Girish Gangadharan and Sreekar Prasad are the cinematographer and editor, respectively. Action choreography is by the Ram-Laxman duo.
